Private Vehicle Insurance

Private Vehicle Insurance provides financial protection against losses arising from the use of private motor vehicles for personal purposes. In Nepal, private vehicle insurance is governed by the Motor Vehicles and Transport Management Act and regulated by the Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA).

• Third-Party Liability Insurance (Compulsory)
• Death or bodily injury to third-party persons, including occupants of other vehicles
• Damage to third-party property caused by the insured vehicle
• Legal liability arising out of the use of the insured private vehicle, subject to limits prescribed by the NIA.
• Comprehensive Private Vehicle Insurance
• Comprehensive insurance includes third-party liability coverage along with own damage coverage for the insured private vehicle.
• Coverage Includes:
• Accidental Damage
• Loss or damage resulting from theft or attempted theft of the insured vehicle.
• Fire and Explosion-Damage caused by fire, lightning, or explosion.
• Natural Calamities
• Damage arising from riot, strike, civil commotion, or malicious acts by third parties.
• Personal Accident Cover (If opted)
• Compensation for death or bodily injury to:
• Owner-driver
• Authorized driver (as per policy terms)
• Towing and Salvage Expenses

• Third-Party Liability Insurance (Compulsory)
• No claim discount, voluntary excess and direct discount available
• 1 year policy term (renewable)
