Child's Education Protection Plan (EPP)
In simple terms: you pay a fixed amount each year, and at the end of the term you get your cover amount back together with the bonus the insurer adds along the way. If you are ever unable to keep paying, the plan carries on by itself and your child still receives the full amount when the term ends. A participating endowment juvenile plan that protects both the child and the policy owner. Provides lump-sum or monthly income on owner's death, child death benefits, maturity benefit of Face Amount plus reversionary bonuses, and policy loan/surrender options.

Terms and conditions
- Gold Option
- 1. In case of death of the Policy Owner, “Lumpsum Death Benefit” is payable equal to 100% of the Face Amount of the policy and base policy premium due up to policy term is waived.
- 2. Additionally, monthly income benefit equivalent to 2% of the Face Amount of the base policy shall be paid for remainder of the policy term.
- Silver Option-
- 1. Premium waiver and only monthly income benefit equivalent to 2% of the Face Amount of the base policy shall be paid for remainder of the policy term.
- 2. Lump-sum death benefit not availiable
- Death of Insured Child:
- In case of death of Insured Child within the policy term, Death benefit is payable equal to 25% of the Face Amount and accrued reversionary bonus or premium of base policy paid amount or Surrender Value whichever is higher, and the Policy shall terminate automatically.
- Death of Insured Child and Policy Owner simultaneously:
- In case of death of Insured Child and Policy Owner simultaneously within the policy term, Beneficiary is paid equal to 100% of Face Amount and accrued reversionary bonus for the death of Policy Owner and 25% of Face Amount for the death of Insured Child.
- Death of Insured Child after Policy Owner’s death:
- In case of death of Insured Child after the death of the Policy Owner within the policy term, Beneficiary is paid equal to 25% of the Face Amount and accrued reversionary bonus or premium of base policy paid amount or Surrender Value whichever is higher, and the policy shall terminate automatically.
- Maturity Benefits:
- On the survival of Insured Child at maturity of the policy, Face Amount and accrued reversionary bonus shall be paid to Insured Child at the end of the policy term

If the insured passes away during the term
The nominee receives the sum assured plus the bonus built up to that date, and the policy ends. Most child plans are written on the parent's life, so see the next case for how the child is protected.

If the parent or guardian passes away
Future premiums are waived and the policy continues on its own. The child still receives the full maturity amount at the set age. Many child plans also pay the child a regular income until then — the brochure states the rate.

If the policy runs to maturity
The child receives the sum assured plus the bonus built up to that date, timed to the age set when the policy was taken out.

If death is caused by an accident
With the accidental death rider, an additional amount is paid on top of the sum assured. The rider is optional and carries its own premium.

Disability Protection Rider Plus (DPR Plus)
All future premiums of the base policy and rider are waived upon permanent total disability of the policy owner; monthly income equal to 2% of base policy face amount is also paid until maturity.
Personal Accident Rider Benefit
Provides benefits for accidental death, dismemberment and permanent total disability up to the face amount.
Critical Illness Rider Benefit
Pays 100% of the CI rider face amount as a lump sum upon diagnosis of one of the 11 covered critical illnesses.
